This subsidy aims to alleviate financial barriers related to residency interviewing and relocation, thereby broadening students' options for residency programs. By providing this crucial financial assistance during the pivotal stages of their medical education, the initiative enhances opportunities for osteopathic students to apply to more competitive residencies, ultimately fostering their professional growth and success.
The Student Advocate Association (SAA) exists to create support and a spirit of unity and loyalty among the student body and their families, provides support to WVSOM and the WVSOM SGA, and helps prepare members as spouses of future osteopathic physicians and members of the National Auxiliary to the American Osteopathic Association.
