The Fredric W. Smith Memorial Family Practice Scholarship

The Frederic W. Smith Memorial Family Scholarship was established in 1996 in tribute to Mr. Smith, who served the school in many capacities including a Executive Vice President of WVSOM prior to his untimely death.  This Scholarship is awarded annually to a first year student who is a West Virginia resident planning to practice family medicine, is in the upper two-thirds of the class academically and has exhibited a strong interest in school and community welfare.
